Thirty Four Graduate and Six Honoured During CFBC-Jenkins Ltd Leadership Ceremony

The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College-Jenkins Leadership Ltd Course celebrated another year of completion having successfully graduated thirty-four professionals and honoured six national icons.

The graduation ceremony took place on Wednesday 31st May 2018 at the College’s Nathaniel John Hospitality Centre.

The graduates of Cohort Six were Shirleyan D. Adams, Nestrelda Bell-Browne, Austin S. Buchanan Jr, Kashina Burke, Sylvester Clarke, Kishma T. Cranstoun, Percy Daniel, Samuel Dolphin, Cheremi Esdaille, Javashti Battice-Evelyn, Thamesha Fyfield, Marile S.

Greaux, Calvin Jenkins, Zareeda Khan, Tamaju K. T. Kitwana, Pastor Marcia John, Tosshema Lanns, Rochelle T. Lewis, Javon A. Liburd, Jermaine Martin, Sheneece B. Meade, Lester A. Phipps ,Frances Madir, Faye L. Matthew, Tressy Morrishaw, Keith Morton, Shermaine N. Pemberton, Carlene Phipps, Kirsten P. Solis, Joycelyn M. Stapleton, Dwight Storrod, Jennifer C. Taylor, Delvyna Thompson and Joseph Williams.

During the ceremony the professionals made several presentations on the icons, speaking to their lives of service and their many contributions to their communities, the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis and beyond.

Those honoured were Joan Armatrading, Samuel Hunkins, Alexis Knight, Valentine Morris, James Sutton and The Blackburn Youth & Sports Club.

The honourees, as made clear by the renditions, were instrumental in making key strides in the sectors of music, sports, entrepreneurship, education and many more.

Attendees of the graduation had the opportunity to learn via PowerPoint presentations, songs, pictures, poems and the like, how these icons helped to shape St Kitts-Nevis.

Following the presentations, children/family members of the honourees received tokens of appreciation on behalf of the Icons.

Notably, the CFBC-Jenkins Leadership Course is a 16-week program geared towards assisting professionals in becoming exceptional leaders.

Throughout the course, the professionals were introduced to a number of vital topics, which included business management, Project Planning, Conflict Resolution and communication among many others.

In order to graduate the professionals were required to successfully execute a business project and a community project.

For their Community Project, the Cohort adopted the Gillards playing field in St. Peters which they outfitted with new amenities and a facelift.  The Business Project was a Fashion show and cocktail at the Eco Park.

Proceeds from the Fashion Cocktail event will be donated to the Clothing and Textile Departments of various high schools.

The uplifting graduation ceremony included remarks by the President of the CFBC, Mrs. Ionie Willett and was impacted with a heart to heart featured address by Dr. Osbert Liburd.

The Cohort would wish to express its deepest gratitude to CFBC, Jenkins Limited, Jenkins Real Estate and to the many visiting Lecturers for giving them the opportunity of this life changing experience.
