St. Kitts and Nevis records murder #16 for 2018, four in three weeks
Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 17, 2018 – St. Kitts and Nevis Saturday recorded its fourth murder in the last 3 weeks, when a bus driver was executed in the presence of several passengers.
Dead is Reynaldo Jeffers of St. Peter’s, St. Kitts, who was murdered as he sat in his bus “Movements” waiting on passengers, many of whom were already sitting.

According to eye witness accounts, Jeffers was seated in his bus, which ply the Basseterre to St. Peter’s route, when unknown gunmen drove up to the vehicle and opened fired striking him several times in the head.
He died instantly from his injuries as blood flowed on the ground.
Jeffers’ murder is the fourth killing in three weeks.
On May 30th, 17 year-old Jamoy Stapleton of Taylors, St. Kitts was shot and killed. On June 1st, the lifeless body of 19-year-old Jamie Chapman was found shot to death in a yard in Clay Ghut, Nevis and on June 3rd 82-year-old grandmother Iona Nicholas was suffocated in bed in her home at Pond’s Estate, St. Kitts.
Jeffers’ murder on Saturday is the 16th recorded in St. Kitts and Nevis for 2018. Twelve of the murders took on St. Kitts and four on Nevis.
